Things to do in Manchester – weekend of 5-7 June
My that’s a specific title of a post. Here’s a few recommended things if you’re looking for something to do in Manchester this weekend.
First up on Friday there’s 86 at Jam St, with TC, Jif and the boys. This Friday they’re joined by fellow record collector and music lover Carl Richards. The 86 boys are always a pleasure, and Jam St in Chorlton is a great little venue. If you get there early enough you can get some food too! Expect low-slung Balearic beats and treats, with a lovely crowd and some hugely knowledgeable DJs.
Saturday – if you fancy one of them housey housey parties, then you could a huge amount worse than El Diablos at the Deaf Institute on Saturday for Rizla Invisible Players vs. El Diablo’s Social Club, With Rub N Tug, Gruff Rhys, Heavenly Jukebox, Neil Scott & Danny Webb, 8pm – 4am, £7 advance.
If you’re more of a hiphop persuasion though, then pop down to our monthly retreat The Salutation Pub, where you’ll find the second installment of the C’mon Feet parties at the Salutation. This month we have special guests g-kut, Danny Drive-Thru and Chengy alongside residents Andy Peek & DJ A-UP. Will be a cracker – and it’s only round the corner from the Deaf Institute so you could easily do both!
That’s it – have a good weekend y’all.
