Spend the night with Domu
By robd • Category: BlogA brand new night presented by superb Manchester basement club The Roadhouse (Electric Chair, Eyes Down, Cut Loose, Contort Yourself, Hoya Hoya) in which the full evening’s DJ entertainment is handed over to one of the Djs that has seriously wowed this club and it’s audience in the past.
No warm ups, no short sets, just the prize pudding in full effect, all night long.
For the first instalment The Roadhouse have chosen DJ Domu whose productions have ranged from hip hop, drum n’ bass and broken beat to soul, techno and house. You may have heard him play a slower set at Northern Comfort this year.
Easily the comparable UK counterpart to such highly-lauded US Djs as Theo Parrish, Ron Trent or Rahaan, Domu’s highly individual sets take you on a journey like few others do – superbly-mixed segues through jazz, hip hop, funk, boogie, rare groove, techno, dubstep and much, much more besides. Domu provided one of the highlight DJ sets of 2009’s Garden Festival in Croatia – ask anyone who was there. The perfect first guest for this debuting night and a welcome return to this venue for a DJ we haven’t seen in Manchester in quite some time.
